Tôkyô zankoku keisatsu - Tokyo Gore Police
It’s Five Minutes Of Madness In The TOKYO GORE POLICE Trailer!
Strap yourselves in, boys and girls, because things are about to get very, very bloody and very, very strange.

The creative team behind The Machine Girl is back together for Tokyo Gore Police, a cult action-horror starring Audition‘s Eihi Shiina as a cop forced to battle off a swarm of hideous mutants spawned by a man made virus. Machine Girl effects guru Yoshihiro Nishimura takes the helm for this one, working from a script by the writer Uzumaki while Versus star Tak Sakaguchi handles the action sequences, all of which means this thing has cult credentials like nobody’s business. What it also has is an unstoppable string of wildly over the top creature and gore effects washed down by buckets and buckets of blood.

If you’ve been waiting to get a look at this your wait is over. The first trailer debuted at the recent Yubari Fantastic Film Festival and the producers of the film have been kind enough to give Twitch an exclusive first look at that same trailer, all four minutes and forty nine seconds of it. It starts off fairly straight before building to a fever pitch and, good news for fans, as insane as this trailer is it doesn’t spoil the biggest shots of the film. Madness, I say. Madness.

You’ll find the trailer in the Twitch Player below the break, hit the link below for behind the scenes stills and watch for an interview with Nishimura in these pages soon.

The guys over at Twitch know a heck of a lot more about crazy Asian cinema than I do — so when they posted a rather enthusiastic piece about an upcoming flick called Tokyo Gore Police, I was sufficiently intrigued. And then I watched the 5-minute promo clip, which is all sorts of maniacally insane. Now I officially cannot wait to throw my eyeballs at the flick, which comes from the guys who gave you Uzumaki, Meatball Machine, and many other memorably bizarre imports.

I’d be happy to embed the trailer right here, if only for simple convenience, but since the Tokyo Gore Police clip is all but awash in hardcore gore, violence and random nakedness, I’ll just point you towards Twitch for the gooey goods. (This sort of stuff is their specialty, after all.) No word on a U.S. distributor just yet (for all I know the flick’s still being finished), but I’m betting I’ll come across the Tokyo Gore Police at a genre-flavored festival some time soon. (And again, fair warning: Don’t check this clip if you have an aversion towards hilariously over-the-top gore geysers.)

The life of an anonymous assassin takes an unexpected turn when he travels to Thailand to complete a series of contract killings. Joe (Nicolas Cage), a remorseless hitman, is in Bangkok to execute four enemies of a ruthless crime boss named Surat. He hires Kong (Shahkrit Yamnarm), a street punk and pickpocket, to run errands for him with the intention of covering his tracks by killing him at the end of the assignment. Strangely, Joe, the ultimate lone wolf, instead finds himself mentoring the young man while simultaneously being drawn into a tentative romance with a local shop girl. As he falls further under the sway of Bangkok’s intoxicating beauty, Joe begins to question his isolated existence and let down his guard …just as Surat decides it’s time to clean house.
